SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION

Let’s face it, the internet is an incredible resource that’s proven its worth. And each generation embraces it with greater vigor and higher rates of engagement. From social media to online shopping we are consuming bandwidth at a stratospheric rate! And that’s where SEO, search engine optimization, comes in.

Your business, no matter how big or small, relies on paid and organic search results to attract internet traffic to your pages. The better you optimize your web site – the more “organic” traffic you’ll drive to site. More traffic equals more sales and/or increased brand exposure and brand recognition. All good things!

That’s where we come in …

By analyzing your existing site’s content we can quantify how search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo!, etc “see” and “value” your site. Once we know the relative strengths and weaknesses of your web site’s content we will create a strategy to improving your site’s SERP ( search engine results page ) results. Depending on the strategy, execution and level of skill required – we can implement all or some of these steps for you.

Black Hat vs White Hat SEO

Black hat SEO is the name given to search engine optimization techniques that attempt to “game” the system. Paid back links and keyword-stuffing are examples of black hat techniques that proved disastrous to web sites that employed these tactics. Site owners woke up and discovered that Google had released an update that literally “black listed” their content – causing their site’s rankings to tumble. In contrast, White Hat techniques utilize “Google approved” strategies. These include high quality content. Keywords and phrases that match the site’s content and target audience. White hat techniques are much less likely to result in Google penalties – and page rank degradation.

And the results?

SEO isn’t won overnight. The best strategies involve a “slow drip” method of improving, testing, analyzing, improving …as results are measured over months and years. Beware of anyone promising “#1 Google” in 30 days! The tactics used to achieve that ranking can and will come back to haunt you as Google is constantly working to improve how it ranks pages.
